Fandom Appreciation Challenge 2011 - Day 5
(I had to skip day 4)
DAY 5: Rec three crossover fics or stories outside your main fandom(s) on your journal.
Stories you've already recced or sent feedback on as part of the challenge do not count for today.
1) LadyHawke Fic: The Blessing bydragonfly PG, kinda gen, and all kinds of wonderful. I always loved this movie, and this little future fic of life after the curse is broken is something I never even knew I needed in my life until I read it this week.
2) Generation Kill Fic: Now it's Time to Make Your Own Demands by shoshannagold (LJ) NC-17 Xtreme BDSM. I'm a little hesitant to rec this because it actually squicked me a bit, and probably would be triggering for some. But Shosh writes beautifully, and she loves these men, and it all comes through. I'm pretty sad that we don't actively share a fandom right now.
3) Generation Kill Fic: A Quiet Place by shoshannagold (LJ) NC-17 hurt/comfort. It would be nice to believe that this is a usual dynamic in the field.
Bonus challenge for 5 points: Send or leave feedback on three stories or fanworks on archives.
This includes stories on archiveofourown.org, fanfiction.net or fandom-specific archives, vids on youtube, vimeo, or fanworks on any communal or private website. Basically, we're talking fanworks not on livejournal or dreamwidth.
I've been trying hard to feedback anything I read lately, so this one was easily accomplished. The last 3 things I read on AO3, all in the "Adam Lambert" fandom. He's over 1000 stories now!
