Calling All Local-ish Fangirls!

So. Dira and I have determined that the weekend before Labor Day, 8/24-26 looks like a good time for a fangirl meetup.

Dira has offered to show us as much (or as little) Generation Kill as we can stand.  There are of course, other things we could view as well, and I'm thinking that several of you will be semi-fresh from Vividcon and may want to share awesome vids. I will probably never make it to Vividcon, because I'm already indentured to a different major event that weekend (The Annual Day of Public Drunkeness)

It seems like the only real things to decide are specific date, location, and menu :)  I'm totally up for hosting here in Fitchburg, but if anyone else has a strong preference for another location, that's good too. I'm just looking forward to the gathering.  And also, finally seeing some GK.

I'm hoping all y'all will spread the word, because I know I don't have all the locals on my DWircle.  This is the place for rsvps and suggestions for activities and viewings.

I'm up for whenever, Saturday or Sunday, and I am happy to come out to Fitchburg! Also, I can drive or organize carpooling with anybody coming from Points East. :)

I don't *think* I have anything that weekend. I am generally available on Saturdays from early afternoon onward, and all day Sundays.

So Saturday into the night (I have crash space for those that don't want to drive late at night) OR most of Sunday - Brunch! Mimosas! Bloody Marys! Which all go well with fannish delights :)
