See those shoes? With the lacy socks? Do you remember when wearing that combo was the height of fashion? (It was the cheesy part of the '80s)
Recently, I mentioned something about wearing that combo, and most of the people around me acted like they had NO CLUE what I was talking about. Like they'd never seen anyone do it before - at least not in real life. And I said "don't you remember the girls from the ZZ Top videos?"
This icon is just to prove that I'm not crazy. Women dressed like that on purpose. Usually they did it when going out to party or hook up. And for what it's worth - even though I'm short, I had great legs back then. I was teh HAWT in those 'knock-me-down-and-fuck-me' shoes with the lacy socks and the appropriately short skirts. I have a couple of pictures still hanging around - I'll see if I can dig them up and post them here for proof.
Isn't it interesting, that for the most part I think of myself as a klutz, but I've got no problem bopping around in those heels?!
