Moline?!
Now the B-52's are going to be stuck in my head.
Anyway, what's the best way to get to Moline, IL from the Madison area? I was thinking 39 south to 88 west, but Mapquest says it's quicker to go through Dubuque and Davenport which is 61 south.
Apparently, I've got the opportunity to get another fairly steady assignment that is out of town for a few days a week, but I still haven't heard all the details, so I don't know more than that. The upside is plenty of hours on the old timecard. The downside is being out of town half the week. Another up is not scrambling for actual work to do - so not making up excuses to keep hanging around. Down - another 3-hr drive each way - I seriously need to go to the library for audio books. Up - Stoneycreek Inn is also in Moline and I have a "frequent flyer" membership there - that puts me much closer to earning the free stay.
Help a woman out, and give me the scoop on Moline...

Take 151 west to Dubuque.
Take 61 south from Dubuque to the Quad Cities (Davenport).
Depending on where you're going, you can take 80 east and then 74 into Moline if you're heading downtown.
And while you're there, Front Street brewery in Downtown Davenport has good beer. Well, for what Brent knows about beer anyway. I can't vouch for it myself since I think beer is icky. ;)

The only thing I remember about the area is visiting a shop for wood carvers in Davenport and the John Deere Museum in Moline. I'm sure there is more to do in the area.
