All my friends far away from here might be jealous to learn that Brokeback Mountain is now playing in our town.

I'm psyched! Now all I have to do is figure out how and when I'm gonna get there...and with whom.

Now, most all y'all know I'm a happy ending sort of gal, but every once in a while a story comes along that defies the norm and bends your normal parameters all to hell. This is one of those stories. The cool thing is, this story bends lots of people's parameters, and they're not all the same ones. So far, the coolest response I've heard (2nd hand) to this film is from a very straight, middle mgmt type guy, who said, and I paraphrase, "I was okay with the gay sex thing, I was expecting that. What I wasn't expecting was the tenderness. It really made me think about some things."

How cool is that?!
