As Promised - Pimpage

Right before I was going to sign off last night, I checked my lovely new "friends" page and found that [livejournal.com profile] cesperanza had posted not one, but two! new stories.  Now I have to rec everything Speranza has ever written in Due South.  Dude.  Go READ, and make sure you're prepared to settle in for a marathon.

The latest:  Bar None is actually one of her shorter pieces and very very nice.  But.  I have to say my all time favorite is another short, Ping.  The long stuff is absolutely breathtaking; it will either break your heart or you'll break a rib from laughing so hard.  So, Eight Sessions and Ten Things to Get Used To are examples of the former, while Juggling Act, The Bodyguard, and Beyond Embarrasment are examples of the latter.

Chicago's Most Wanted and Some Strange Prophecy are each in a class by themselves.  'Chicago' is an actual episode waiting for the bucks to film it.  You can SEE the whole thing in technicolor.  Prophecy is just.  OMG.  It's stupendous.  There is a lot of serious shit going down with Fraser in this one, and his reaction to all of it is priceless.  This very serious story is painted against a backdrop of absolute wackiness, with poor, confused!Ray just trying to hang on until the end of the ride.  But then Ray learns that those with strong fingernails get their just rewards <s>.

And while you're over there, don't miss the FlashFiction  page, because there are some real gems there, including 'Self Assessment,' 'Translating Farenheit to Celsius,' 'Number Eight,' and 'Ray's Amazing Adventure at the Indigo Club.'

But now, Speranza has begun writing in Stargate: Atlantis, and oh my. It makes me sad that DS is starting to lose the hold it had over arguably the fandom's best author, but SGA is so lucky to have her now!  And it's all Speranza's fault that I have a shiny new fandom to 'squeeee' over.
