Following the example of my good friends, A.A., and texasbek, I decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love. It turns out I had about 15" to give! Yay!

This is the way I looked in St. Louis, mid-June. The light of a spectacular sunset makes me look more like the CA girl I used to be :)

Wow. Awesome cut. And Locks of Love is a great way to get chicks.

No, seriously. When I met leorathesane, I had hair a little shorter than yours before the cut. I was growing it out specifically for Locks of Love. Leora thought I was smart and sort of cute but didn't think much more of me. The first time I saw her after I got it cut was when she decided, "Yes. I want that chick."

Oh, I've come to realize that I'm way too straight/vanilla-presenting to warrant a second look from 99% of women-who-like-women. ::sigh:: I don't seem to have enough edginess in me. Or something. If I had any idea what that something was, I might be able to do something about it.

Looks smashing! 15" is a lot of weight off your head. Have you had any dreams about the missing hair? Or maybe that is just me :).

No dreams about the hair. The last time I did this drastic of a change, I kept getting weirded out in the shower as I was shampooing - couldn't get over the feeling that something was missing LOL

Hey! yesterday, I think I got checked out by the female athletic director of the elementary school! I spoke to her briefly outside, and then came into my "office." Awhile later she poked her head in and asked me if I'm working here now. When I explained I'm only here till the building is done, she said "oh." and wandered away. A couple minutes later I went "Doh!"

I think it must have been the haircut :) combined with the steel-toed boots.
