Looky! Look what I got!

So christmas was lovely and quiet, and because of getting a CAR in the early part of the month, it was kind of small for the grown ups, but I still think I raked in the goods.  First of all, Geek Squee!! because barley52  is the best present-giver ever.  He also put yummy chocolate, and green tea, and green tea/lemongrass mints, and Patron, in my stocking!  Yay!

Thanks to old_man_summer  for pointing this out earlier this year, or I wouldn't have had it at the top of my Wish List!

Also, Mavis knows me well enough to know this would make me VERY very happy.  :)

And if I had thought of it before, and Mavis weren't off spending the night with her pal AND her new digital camera, I could have inserted a picture with the caption "Be vewy vewy qwiet..." because DH thought I needed a new warm hat.  I did say I wanted one, but I kind of had in mind that I would go try on hats and pick one out. 

Before I could accomplish that though, I found a lovely, furry, soft, black Elmer Fudd hat in my xmas stash.  It's warm.  It's soft.  I like to pet it.  But wear it? Not so much.  The Fuddishness kind of threw me off, but I gamely attempted to use it in the spirit in which it was intended.  I wore it to work yesterday.  Yesterday was damp and gloomy.  I needed a good warm hat.  Unfortunately, when I try to speak with the superintendent,who's a good foot taller than me, I tended to end up looking at the inside of the hat.  Same thing for driving, and trying to check the blind spot over my shoulder.  So.  Back to the drawing board on the hat.  But the toe-warmers are keepers.  I'm wearing them right now.  While listening to my CD. And working.  Yeah.  I'm..... Working.  hmmm.  I better get on that.
