Fanfic Meme Day 06

Okay, so its not so much a fic as a whole class of fic: American Idol RPF. Mainly as written by astolat, at least, it was that way last January, but sometime in the spring I broke down and checked out AI on AO3 (which is currently up to 945 works!) I've only read a very large portion of what's there, because I'm purposefully avoiding the Gen and the crossovers with people/bands/fandoms I've never heard of.
