Demented DJ

Most of my friends know that I wake up every morning with a song in my head.  I know that makes me sound like a  total pollyanna, but it's not really like that.  I just have this morning soundtrack.  Some days are better than others, some weeks, like this one, are weirder than others.  So far this week:

* Band of Gold (that goes waaay back)
* Even the Losers (Get Lucky Sometimes) - Tom Petty
* Oh Boy - Buddy Holly
* Take a Chance on Me - Abba

And of course the ones that stick for the whole day, the ones I just can't shake no matter what, have to be Band of Gold and Abba. ::shudder::  Usually I can pinpoint when or where the song got inserted into my shuffle, but some days, I've got no clue.  I mean, srsly? Abba?  Usually my trip to work with the radio on drowns out the song of the day, and I can happily go about my business.  But apparently today is Not one of those days.

In other news, I got another haircut - changed the style - and I'm thinking I look rather elegant and chic in my all brown ensemble (silk blouse from Ann Taylor's clearance rack and *brown* patent peekaboo pumps) and my Sharon Stone meets Leisha Hailey 'do.  Unfortunately DH thinks I've got a "broadway-ish Peter Pan thing going on."  Although - Leisha would make an adorable Pan.

Clarence Fish

Clarence the fish is our most skittish new buddy.  He always hangs around the rocks and scoots or freezes the second anyone comes near - even the other fish.  But last night, I caught Clarence and the girl making kissy fishy faces at each other.  !!!

Clarence was out in the open, smack in the middle of the front wall facing the girl.  She leaned in close and started mirroring his face movements, and he hung out for a good 30 seconds.  Maybe he's actually adjusting to his new digs.
